How are you coming along with Day 5’s challenge? Oola Day 5- Getting Past the Hurt
It’s important to find time for the people that mean the most to you. We are here for a good time, not a long time. Think back to a loved one or friend that you haven’t spoken with in some time. We get so caught up in our work, our families, and our daily routines that we forget to stay connected with the friends and friendships who helped make us who we are today.
Sometimes life’s journey means moving away, having families of our own, and we lose touch and develop new friendships. Since moving to NC full time, I know that there are some that I was beyond close to, that I just have not had the chance to contact in over a year.
Now this doesn’t mean reconnect with any old friend. Leave the toxic friendships behind as they will block your pursuit towards an amazing life with amazing decisions.
Have you slowly drifted away from someone over time? This is simple as reaching out through a Facebook message, email, phone call, text, lunch date, or you can even go old-school and send them a handwritten letter. Let today be the day that we appreciate the positive friends and influences in our lives and take the time to reach out and give them a sincere thank you.
